In August 2012, the Spruijt family from Nieuwersluis were travelling to Lemmer when they ran aground with their motor cruiser Zoeff on the IJsselmeer. The cruiser ran aground in the treacherous shallows of the Vormt, near Urk. The propellers were damaged and the rudder had broken off, the Zoeff was literally stuck. Post Workboats ensured that the family could continue their holiday as normal.
Harry Spruijt: ''Post Workboats was on site super quickly and brought us to safety. In the Urk harbour, Klaas Post himself dived under the boat to investigate the damage. We then decided to have the Zoeff repaired at the shipyard on Urk. The damage was fixed in no time and we were back on the water again the following day. If you must have a breakdown, then this is the best way.’
