“Post Workboats” is the biggest company for the rental of Ribs in the Netherlands. A Rib (rigid-inflatable boat) is a lightweight but high-performance and high-capacity boat constructed with a solid, shaped hull and flexible tubes at the gunwale. Ribs perform under the most extreme conditions. Therefore they are used in a wide range of activities like: rescue, offshore, security, sports organization and as surveillance boats for e.g. police and “Rijkswaterstaat”.
All the KNRM boats are also built according to the Rib principle.

“Post Workboats” has a standby deployable fleet of 22 Ribs ranging from a trailersize 4.5 mtrs to a 10 meter boat with an inboard dieselengine for offshore activities.

“Post Workboats” is based in Urk, and therefore easily accessible by land and open water (IJsselmeer). We also arrange and monitor worldwide transportation of rental Ribs.

The Ribs can be hired from just one day to (unlimited) long-term lease contracts, with or without an experienced skipper.
In most cases it is cheaper to rent than to buy if taken into account additonal costs like insurance, maintenance and depreciation.

As "Post Workboats", we are able to meet most requests and demands. Here a brief list of recently realized projects:

• Policeboat lease during high season.
• Worldwide seismological research with a specially equipped Rib for high speed mapping and surveying of a large area in a short time.
• Surveillance and monitoring of sea-floor at largescale infrastructural waterworks like the “2e Maasvlakte”.
• Assistance at sailingraces / supportrib at the international regatta of Medenblik.
• Worldwide assitance at the international Red Bull Airraces.
• Workboat / assistanceboat for the layout of underwater cable-network and other underwater activities for the off-shore industry.
• Camara-platform for filming on the water and/or highspeed assitanceboat for movie industrie and TV programs like “Yachtvision”.

All our boats are equipped with a modern “green” economical four stroke Yamaha outboard engine,VHF, GPS with maps deptsounder, navigation lights, hydraulic steering, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, anchor, lifting points and registration. Naturally, all our boats are all-risk insured.
